What to wear this this?

I'm a 20 year old young lady that likes is 'funky' and lights a lot of colour. I start some work experience in a secondary school in September.
I've bought this yellow high-waisted pencil skirt to wear, as I thought the style will be keeping it quite sophisticated, but the colour will make me look quite funky and 'down wit da kidz!', haha.
I'm planning on wearing black wooley tights and pumps or some patent court shoes with a small heel.

My dilemma is, what to wear on the top half?

[I'd just like to add that I'm not a 6ft model, so this skirt will be about knee length on me!]

Ha ha, I'm glad it's more knee-length, I work in a school and the dress code is quite strict there. With high waist skirts I think very fitted shirts in black or white look good. So if your shoes and tights are black, why not a black shirt, tucked in. You could roll the sleeves back and wear a bright chunky cuff that 'pops' with the skirt.

Very daring for school. Well done! That should keep the kids awake.I think a classic shirt is the way to go definitely. Black with the tights and pumps. Or you could try layering a yellow vest if you could get a slightly darker tone, with black cropped cardigan over.
