York Races - What to wear?

I'm off to York races on Saturday and in a bit of a quandry, wardrobe-wise. Don't want to be too formal (not going to be in any royal box!), but don't want to look too casual either. Any suggestions appreciated!

Have you got anything in mind at all at the moment?
How about a chic maxi dress? There are some great ones in the shops now. (With perhaps a funky jacket in case of rain.)
@Gina - I think 'Tony Fawn' is a man! I will make some changes so that it's a bit more obvious who has submitted a dilemma.
I've fixed it now so that you can see who has submitted a dilemma, just under the dilemma question!
(Sorry for hijacking your thread Tony Fawn - I would personally wear a suit & shirt with no tie.)
I think I agree with Tim, casual suit and shirt, open-necked with no tie.
Sorry about the mistake. There are such odd names I didn't really look! I think smart suit is the way to go - perhaps in a lighter summery colour with open-neck shirt
What did you go with in the end Tony?
Cheers for the advise guys, went with a suit and shirt in the end; and a good time was had by all!
Nice one!
